Orchid (Brassia Arcuigera), Monteverde, Costa Rica

Monteverde also has a delightful orchid garden which contains over 400 species of orchid, including the smallest orchid in the world which you need a microscope to see. I learn that orchids mimic insects to attract (the male variety) for pollination. The garden also has a resident noisy parrot that constantly screeches 'lorito' - its name and also the word for 'little parrot'.
