It's a hive of activity up here as there's luge-ing, bungy-jumping, rope-swinging and paragliding on offer but I escape the crowds and walk the Skyline Loop Track instead. It's icy and starts through thick pine forest where I have a sense of deja-vu. Half away around the track it opens up on to a sublime view of Ben Lomond, where a side track leading to the summit states '6-8 hours return'. The track is completely covered in snow even at this level.
