West Coast, New Zealand

It's still raining and thick with mist but the landscape is magical - winding mountain passes through endless pine forests. Miles and miles of Christmas trees. Reminds me of the Scottish Highlands.

We stop off at a winery to try some Marlborough Wines. I find them all too sharp and acidic apart from the Pinot Gris, a wine for people who don't know anything about wine, according to the film 'Sideways' someone mentions.
