Kuirau Park, Rotorua, New Zealand

Walking around Rotorua I notice steam rising randomly from the ground, and the pungent smell of sulphur filling the air.

Accidently I wander into Kuirau Park and onto the wooden walkways they've constructed around the thermally active areas. A series of lakes and mud pools reveal themselves once the steam has cleared.
