As we're ascending Beedo shows me the height gauge. We're at 8000 metres which looks pretty high to me. I tell him I'm ready to jump. He laughs and says 'no, no we have a long way to go'. He keeps giving me the thumbs up as it's noisy inside the plane and although I don't know how I feel I do the thumbs up back. While I'm staring out of the window at the snowy mountains I notice that one of the Brits is missing. She's already jumped. As soon as the second one jumps the plane takes an upward turn and starts climbing. I know the time is nigh.
