Te Puia Maori Village, Rotorua, New Zealand

I hardly sleep a wink. Overnight my gum swelled so I couldn't sleep on the right side of my face. I woke up with a grossly inflated moon face.

I decide I'll administer treatment to myself as I don't want to go back to the doctors with another ailment so I try to ease the swelling by rinsing with salt water.

I take the bus out to Te Puia, Rotorua's largest and best-known thermal springs and arrive in time for the Maori show which includes a welcome dance, singing and the famous 'Haka' warrior dance.
